CANTON, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's cross country team finished up its 2019 season by placing 25th out of 42 teams with a score of 726 at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by St. Lawrence University on Saturday.
Junior
Andrew Horan (Albany, N.Y./Guilderland) covered the eight-kilometer course in 26:46.8 to place 77th out of 299 runners, averaging a 5:24 mile pace. Junior
Arthur Horan (Albany, N.Y./Guilderland) was the next Cardinal to cross, placing 109th with a time of 27:12.0, while junior
Joseph Chianese (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) and freshman
Joe Yusaitis (Stillwater, N.Y./Stillwater) finished sequence, taking 174th (28:17.4) and 175th (28:17.4), respectively. Freshman
Liam Gildea (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) posted a 191st-place time of 28:41.2, while junior
Timothy Lorenzen (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) and freshman
Ryan Worobey (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) took 207th (29:02.0) and 209th (29:07.5), respectively.
SUNY Geneseo finished first in the team standings with 30 points, followed by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (second, 57) and host St. Lawrence (third, 136). RPI's senior Noah Falasco won the race individually with a time of 25:13.3.
