LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Plattsburgh State women's and men's cross country team are set to race at Rowan University, site of the 2018 NCAA Division III Cross Country Atlantic Region Championships, on Saturday, Nov. 10.
Over 50 schools and 700 student-athletes will compete in the event with the top teams and individuals moving on to the NCAA Championship.
The course is at the Gloucester County DREAM Park in Logan Township, NJ.
The women's race starts at 11 a.m., with the men's event to follow at 12 p.m.
Last year the women finished 15th of 41 teams while the men placed 15th of 42 teams.
Competing for the women this weekend are senior
Jessie Smillie (Bohemia, N.Y. / Connetquot), juniors
Kristina Watrobski (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa),
Mikayla Barrett (Rotterdam, N.Y. / Schalmont) and
Annie Campbell(Chateaugay, N.Y. / Chateaugay), sophomores
Jasmine Roberts (Albany, N.Y. / Guilderland) and
Jackie Corbett (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush) and freshman
Rebecca Block (Lake Grove, N.Y. / Sachem North).
Representing the men's side are graduate
Scott Downing (Wappingers Falls, N.Y. / Roy C. Ketcham), seniors
William Lindau (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) and
Adam Whitehead (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) and sophomores
