CANTON, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's cross country team posted a 14th-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Division III Mideast Region Championships hosted by St. Lawrence at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course, concluding their 2025 season. This marked the team's strongest showing at the Mideast Region Championships, surpassing last year's 20th-place finish.
Senior
Marissa Colvin (South Glens Falls, N.Y. / South Glens Falls) followed up her top finish for the Cardinals at the conference championships, leading the team with a time of 23:44.4 (61st). The next runner across for Plattsburgh was junior
Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) with a mark of 24:18.2 (77th).
Sophomore
Ellie LeRoy (Malone, N.Y. / Franklin Academy) wrapped up her debut with the cross country team with a 93rd-place finish, coming in at 25:08.4. The next Cardinals to cross the line were
Lillian Moran (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) and
Ella Stuttard (Oriskany Falls, N.Y. / Waterville), who rounded out the scoring group with times of 25:35.3 (107th) and 26:01.2 (119th), respectively.
Ginny Lucchetti (Marcellus, N.Y. / Marcellus) and
Lexie Rostak (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) closed out the Cardinals' lineup as Lucchetti came across at 26:40.1 (135th) and Rostak at 27:32.3 (151st).
Williams took home the team championship with a score of 39 for the automatic berth into the NCAA Division III National Championships in Spartanburg, S.C., hosted by Converse College. Audrey Maclean of Middlebury won the individual championship with a mark of 21:21.6.
With this race, the Cardinals bring their season to a close and begin preparing for the upcoming indoor track and field campaign.
