NEW LONDON, Conn. – Four Plattsburgh State women's cross country runners ran course personal bests at the respected Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday.
Plattsburgh State finished 21st of 25 teams with 571 points.
Junior
Kristina Watrobski (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) led the Cardinals finishing 51st of 307 racers with a new course personal best of 23:07.8.
Sophomore
Jackie Corbett (Pine Bush, N.Y. / Pine Bush) ran a course PR of 24:26.6 to place 129th.
Junior
Mikayla Barrett (Rotterdam, N.Y. / Schalmont) finished 168th in a time of 24:59.4 while freshman
Rebecca Block (Lake Grove, N.Y. / Sachem North) placed 185th with a 25:24.3.
Senior
Jessie Smillie (Bohemia, N.Y. / Connetquot) and junior
Annie Campbell(Chateaugay, N.Y. / Chateaugay) each had a course PR of 25:36.9 and 26:01.9 to place 197th and 221st respectively.
Sophomore
Jennifer Molina (Flushing, N.Y. / World Journalism Preparatory) finished 296th with a time of 29:13.8.
Plattsburgh State will take a week off in preparation for the State University of New York Athletic Conference Championship on October 27th hosted by Fredonia.
