PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – In the last SUNYAC East conference match of the season, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals fell to the New Paltz Hawks on Friday afternoon, 9-0.
 
After missing doubles action last week against SUNY Cortland, Shari Forman (Manhassett, N.Y./Wellington C. Mepham) returned to the No. 2 slot with teammate Sarah Drexinger (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Ballston Spa) on Friday.
 
It is the first time this season the Cardinals have been shut out.
 
Looking to regroup, Plattsburgh will take it easy on Saturday before welcoming the Castleton Spartans on Sunday. The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
