Game One: Brockport 4, Plattsburgh State 3

Plattsburgh State staged a late rally to erase a 3-0 deficit and tie the game in the fifth, but a Cardinals' error allowed Brockport to score the winning run in the seventh and take game one by a score of 4-3.

Brockport's Brianna Ferchen led off the game with an infield single before stealing second and scoring on an RBI single by Sarah Rosenbarker to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead.

Back-to-back singles by Gabrielle Rivers and Ferchen coupled with a throwing error by Plattsburgh State put runners on second and third for the Golden Eagles to start the third inning. Brianna Harris followed with a single up the middle, allowing Rivers to score. Ferchen scored later in the inning on a fielder's choice to put Brockport up by three.

Brittany Marshall opened the bottom of the fourth inning with a lead-off single and a stolen base before Shelby Heyward brought Marshall home on a one-out single to put the Cardinals on the board. Plattsburgh State evened the score in the next inning on a two-run home run by Brianna Clarke.

The game slipped away in the seventh after Rosenbarker started the inning for Brockport with a double to left field. Jordan Bush came in as a pinch runner and scored the go-ahead run for Brockport later in the inning on a throwing error by the Cardinals.

Capobianco led the Cardinals with two hits while Clarke went 1-for-3 with a home run, 2 RBIs, a walk and a run scored. Kristine Gay added double and Marshall, Heyward, Samantha Tenney and Kayla Rabideau each singled to give the Cardinals eight hits in game one.

Rivers went 3-for-4 with a run while Ferchen and Rosenbarker each added two hits for the Golden Eagles.

Morgan Anderson took the loss for the Cardinals, allowing four runs on 12 hits while striking out four. Brockport's Jaime Berger held the Cardinals to three runs on eight hits. Berger issued two walks and struck out five in the win.

Game Two: Brockport 8, Plattsburgh State 0

Harris and Rosenbarker combined for eight hits and seven RBIs to lead Brockport to an 8-0 victory in game two over Plattsburgh State.

Rosenbarker's RBI single to left in the top of the first plated Brockport's first run of the game before Kelly Proper followed later in the inning with an RBI single to center field to give the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead.

Brockport added two more in the second inning on an RBI single by Harris and an RBI double by Rosenbarker to extend the lead to 4-0.

The Cardinals threatened in the bottom of the third after Tenney led off with a single to right center. Later in the inning, Marshall reached on a fielder's choice and stole second putting runners on second and third with two outs for Clarke. Brockport starter Kolby Kibling was able to work out of the jam by striking out Clarke and keeping the Cardinals scoreless.

Rosenbarker came through for Brockport again in the fourth with a two-out single down the right field line, bringing Ferchen around to score to make it a 5-0 game. The Golden Eagles continued to produce with two outs as Harris drove in two more runs in the top of the fifth with a two-out single that gave Brockport a 7-0 advantage.

A lead-off single, a walk and a wild pitch put runners on second and third with one out for Plattsburgh State in the bottom of the fifth, but Kibling came through with a strike out and a groundout to escape any damage.

The Golden Eagles added one more run in the seventh on a solo home run by Harris. Harris finished game two with four hits, four RBIs and three runs in five plate appearances.

Rosenbarker went 4-for-4 with three RBIs while Proper and Amanda Yuhas contributed two hits apiece in the latter half of the doubleheader.
