Box Score OSWEGO, N.Y. – Joey Kramer scored his 100th-career goal at the 2:24 mark of overtime to give the Plattsburgh State men’s lacrosse team an 11-10 overtime win at Oswego State in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC)  contest Saturday afternoon.

Kramer notched a hat trick in Saturday’s win to reach the milestone. The senior attackman from Lindenhurst, N.Y. scored one in the first quarter before tallying the game-tying goal with 2:53 left in regulation and the game-winning goal.

The Lakers (6-3, 1-1 SUNYAC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the game but the Cardinals (9-3, 1-1 SUNYAC) scored five of last seven goals of the first quarter to take a 5-4 advantage after 15 minutes.

Nick Travers opened the second quarter with his second goal of the game, putting Plattsburgh State up by two. Oswego quickly rallied for a pair of goals before each side swapped goals once more to end the half tied at 7-7.

Oswego State found the back of the net twice in the third to take a two-goal lead over Plattsburgh State. Cardinals’ midfielder Brett McClelland scored a man-up goal with just 26 seconds gone in the fourth to bring Plattsburgh State within one but the Lakers quickly regained a two-goal edge with Connor Khammer’s goal at the 12:35 mark.

The Cardinals rallied late in the fourth on Brendan Damm’s 26th of the year to make it a 10-9 game before Kramer’s game-tying goal to force overtime.

Kramer led the offense with three goals, bringing his season total to 28, while McClelland added two goals and an assist. Damm and Travers also each scored twice. Tim Lawrence scooped up a team-best seven ground balls and Charlie Dullea had a game-high three caused turnovers.

Oswego’s Cody Hoose also recorded a hat trick and Jimmy Cordon contributed a goal and two assists. Khammar and Chris Porten scored two goals apiece while Casey Balzer added two helpers. Khammar also picked up a team-high four ground balls.

Plattsburgh State goalkeeper Eric Howard stepped in for Gordie Gehring, who was serving a one-game suspension, and earned his first win with eight saves. Oswego’s Bryan Martin recorded an impressive 20 saves in the loss.

Plattsburgh State outshot Oswego, 48-31, and led 25-21 in ground balls.
