2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Men's At Large Teams

Fynn Whitlock (Middlebury, Vt. / Middlebury Union) of the Plattsburgh State men's lacrosse team earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team honors, the organization announced Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes who do not currently have a designated program in the Academic All-America catalog, for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To be eligible for the ballot, a lacrosse student-athlete must have competed in at least 90% of the team's games or started at least 66% of the team's contests. Nominees must also be academically and athletically at least a sophomore and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Francey, a Finance major with a 3.95 cumulative GPA, appeared in all 15 games, starting 11 for Plattsburgh this season. The sophomore midfielder finished fourth on the team in points with 21 (10 goals, 11 assists), showcasing his versatility as both a scorer and facilitator. Defensively, he ranked second on the team with 28 caused turnovers (fourth in the conference) and added a team third-best 45 ground balls. Francey's top offensive performance came against Canton on Apr. 18, when he led the team with a season-high five points on a season-high four goals and an assist. On the defensive side, he recorded a season- and team-high six caused turnovers against New Paltz on Mar. 28 and collected a season-high five ground balls against Oswego State on Apr. 3. Over the course of the season, he earned two SUNYAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors and one United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week selection.
Whitlock, a Finance/Economics major with a 3.89 cumulative GPA, started all 14 games he appeared in for Plattsburgh this season. The junior defender led the team with 62 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers, ranking eighth in the conference in ground balls and second in caused turnovers. Offensively, he contributed four assists, matching his career high for points in a season. His year was highlighted by a dominant defensive performance against Oswego State on Apr. 3, when he collected a season-high 10 ground balls and caused three turnovers. He followed that with another impressive outing against Oneonta on Apr. 22, finishing with a season- and team-high four caused turnovers while adding a team-high eight ground balls.
Plattsburgh State finished the season with a 9-6 (4-3 SUNYAC) record, marking the program's best overall record since 2017 and its first postseason appearance since 2019.
