Driscoll and Ehmann Pick Up All-Region Accolades

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Two members of the Plattsburgh State women's cross country team – Kelley Driscoll and Katie Ehmann – received All-NCAA Atlantic Region honors after posting some great finishes at the NCAA Atlantic Regional race last Saturday.

Driscoll, a senior from Geneva, N.Y., obtained her third consecutive All-Region award by racing to an 11th-place finish at Letchworth State Park. She covered the six-kilometer course in a time of 21:44.1 and was the third student-athlete from the SUNYAC to cross the finish line. Driscoll became the first Plattsburgh State runner to traverse a six-kilometer course in less than 22 minutes since All-American Stefanie Braun accomplished the feat at the 2011 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships.

Ehmann earned her first All-Region laurel by crossing the finish line in a 30th-place time of 22:25.7. That particular time by the Kingston, N.Y., native was a six-kilometer personal best.

On Saturday morning, Driscoll will take part in her third NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship race of her career. The senior will represent Plattsburgh State at the national race which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in Hanover, Ind.
