Boxscore and Play-by-Play

PLATTSBURGH
– Liz Radigan scored a goal in each half to lead the Cardinals in a 2-1 win over the Buffalo State Bengals on a cold, rainy afternoon at the Field House Soccer Complex.  Plattsburgh State improves to 10-2-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play.  The Bengals fall to 8-4-2 (4-1-1 SUNYAC) on the season.

In the 12th minute, Plattsburgh opened the scoring when Liz Radigan was credited with a goal on a high shot off the hands of Buffalo State goalie Virginia Porten.  Kayla Rabideau picked up an assist on Radigan’s third goal of the season.

Buffalo State retaliated four minutes later with Melissa Mahoney’s fifth goal of the year from Bengals’ leading scorer Barbara Kiliszek.

Liz Radigan broke the 1-1 tie in the 59th minute with her second goal of the game off a direct kick into the right side of the net.

Alina Greiser picked up eight saves in her tenth victory for the Cardinals.  Porten made five stops for the Bengals.  Buffalo State held a slight edge on Plattsburgh State in shots (15-14) and corner kicks (6-5).

The Cardinals return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. against the Fredonia State Blue Devils.
