Katonka was named the NEWHL Tournament MVP after helping lead the Cardinals to their fourth straight NEWHL title and their ninth consecutive conference championship overall. She had two goals and two assists in Plattsburgh State's 8-0 win over SUNY Potsdam in the NEWHL Tournament semifinals on Tuesday before scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 4-3 overtime victory over SUNY Cortland in the NEWHL Tournament championship game on Saturday.
