PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Head men's soccer coach Chris Taylor added another national championship to his coaching résumé this summer, leading Vermont Green FC to its second consecutive USL League Two National Championship while completing another undefeated season.

Taylor, who enters his ninth season as the head coach of the Plattsburgh men's soccer program this fall, guided Vermont Green FC to back-to-back undefeated national championship seasons in 2025 and 2026. The accomplishment adds another milestone to Taylor's coaching career while leading one of the nation's premier pre-professional soccer clubs.

Taylor has led the Cardinals since 2018 and enters the 2026 campaign looking to build on the continued growth of the Plattsburgh men's soccer program. During his eight seasons at the helm, Taylor has compiled a 61-40-23 overall record while leading the Cardinals to five SUNYAC Tournament appearances, including two trips to the conference semifinals and a berth in the SUNYAC Championship game.

USL League Two is widely regarded as one of North America's premier pre-professional soccer leagues, featuring many of the nation's top collegiate players and serving as a key pathway to the professional ranks.

With another championship season complete, Taylor now shifts his focus back to Plattsburgh as the Cardinals prepare to begin preseason ahead of the 2026 campaign.
