PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's soccer team is gearing up for the 2026 campaign, as it prepares for a 16-game regular-season schedule beginning in September. The Cardinals will play seven home contests and nine road matches as they look to make a return to SUNYAC postseason play.
Plattsburgh State will begin its season on Tuesday, Sept. 1, hosting Vermont State University Castleton at the Field House Turf Complex. The Cardinals then travel to Farmingdale State for a weekend tournament, facing the host Rams on Saturday, Sept. 5, before taking on Stevens on Sunday, Sept. 6.
The Cardinals return home on Wednesday, Sept. 9, to host Clarkson before traveling to St. Lawrence on Saturday, Sept. 12. The road stretch continues with a trip to Vermont State University Johnson on Wednesday, Sept. 16, followed by a matchup at RPI on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Plattsburgh closes out September with a home contest against Skidmore on Tuesday, Sept. 22, before opening SUNYAC play on Wednesday, Sept. 30, when it hosts Potsdam.
Conference action continues in October as the Cardinals travel to Oneonta on Saturday, Oct. 3. They then return home for a conference matchup against Delhi on Wednesday, Oct. 7, before heading to Oswego on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The Cardinals remain on the road on Wednesday, Oct. 14, with a conference contest at Canton before returning to the Field House Turf Complex for Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 17, against Morrisville. Plattsburgh will host Cobleskill in its final regular-season home match on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
The regular season concludes with a road matchup at defending SUNYAC champion Cortland on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The SUNYAC Tournament is scheduled to begin with play-in games on Wednesday, Oct. 28, followed by the quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 31. The semifinals are set for Wednesday, Nov. 4, while the conference championship match will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7.
