2026 Plattsburgh State Women's Volleyball Schedule

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Entering the third season under head coach Eimile O'Brien, the Plattsburgh State women's volleyball team will look to build on last year's progress and climb the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) standings. The Cardinals' 2026 schedule features 27 matches, including 13 home contests at Memorial Hall.

The Cardinals open their 2026 campaign at home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, welcoming Clarkson before hosting the Cardinal Classic on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 4-5. Plattsburgh opens tournament play against Russell Sage on Friday and concludes the weekend with matches against Hartwick and Potsdam on Saturday.

Plattsburgh then travels to Boston for the UMass Boston Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11-12. The Cardinals take on host UMass Boston on Friday before meeting Amherst and RIT on Saturday.

The Cardinals return home for a pair of non-conference matches, hosting Norwich on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and VTSU-Castleton on Friday, Sept. 18, before traveling to Skidmore for a tri-match on Saturday, Sept. 19. At Skidmore, Plattsburgh will face Russell Sage for the second time this season before taking on host Skidmore.

Following a road contest at St. Lawrence on Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Cardinals host another multi-team classic at Memorial Hall. Plattsburgh opens the weekend against Fisher on Friday, Sept. 25, before closing tournament action with matches against VTSU-Johnson and Paul Smith's on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Cardinals begin October with a non-conference match at Bard on Friday, Oct. 2, before heading to Union for a tri-match on Saturday, Oct. 3. There, Plattsburgh will face former SUNYAC rival New Paltz and host Union.

SUNYAC play begins on the road as the Cardinals travel to conference newcomers Delhi on Friday, Oct. 9, and Cobleskill on Saturday, Oct. 10. Plattsburgh then returns to Memorial Hall for a three-match homestand, opening its home conference slate against Oneonta on Saturday, Oct. 17. Following that the Cardinals host Cortland on Friday, Oct. 23, and SUNYAC newcomer Alfred State on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Plattsburgh closes the road portion of its schedule with matches at Oswego State on Friday, Oct. 30, Morrisville on Saturday, Oct. 31, and Potsdam on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The Cardinals return home for their regular-season finale, hosting Canton on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The top eight teams in the final SUNYAC standings will qualify for the SUNYAC Tournament. First-round matches are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10, with the quarterfinals on Thursday, Nov. 12. The semifinals will be contested on Saturday, Nov. 14, before the conference championship match on Sunday, Nov. 15.
