COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Plattsburgh State women's track and field team opened competition today at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships.
The Cardinals began the day in the 100-meter hurdles preliminaries, where sophomore
Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y. / Ichabod Crane) placed 14th with a personal-best time of 15.34 seconds.
In the 4x400-meter relay, the quartet of Scott, sophomores
Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y. / Spencerport) and
Brianna Wise (Niskayuna, N.Y. / Niskayuna), along with senior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon), narrowly missed scoring with a 10th-place finish in 3:56.42. The time marked the Cardinals' fastest performance of the season in the event.
In distance competition, junior
Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) finished 21st in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:22.79.
The Cardinals will return to action tomorrow at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships at Patterson Field, with events scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
