PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State baseball team earned two State University of New York Athletic Conference all-conference selections, as juniors
Tyler Martin (New Windsor, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) and
Frankie Kowal (Shrub Oak, N.Y./Lakeland) each received Second Team All-SUNYAC honors.
Junior infielder
Tyler Martin earned Second Team All-SUNYAC recognition after batting .333 with 34 hits, 19 RBI, a .421 on-base percentage, and an .813 OPS this season. Martin also hit .305 in conference play and finished second on the team in both hits and RBI.
Junior outfielder
Frankie Kowal was named to the Second Team All-SUNYAC squad after leading the team with 35 hits while batting .330 overall and .355 in conference play. Kowal added 16 RBI, a .453 slugging percentage, a .466 on-base percentage, and a .919 OPS during the season, while also leading the team with 23 walks.
The Cardinals finished the 2026 season with a 15-18 overall record and went 5-13 in SUNYAC conference play.
