NEW YORK, N.Y. – Senior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon) won the 400-meter dash as the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team competed on Day Two of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships on Saturday.
Plattsburgh finished tied for 23rd with 10 points, while Geneseo Knights women's track and field won the championship with 82 points.
Yarkosky placed first with a time of 55.61 seconds, setting a new meet record.
Junior
Grace Estus (Clifton Park, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) had a strong performance in the 3,000-meter run, finishing 21st in 10:28.25 to record a new personal best.
Plattsburgh now awaits the announcement of qualifiers for next weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, set for Friday and Saturday, Mar. 13-14, at Birmingham-Southern College. The final list of participants will be released on NCAA.com this Sunday, March 8, at 7 p.m. The top 20 competitors in each individual event and the top 12 relay teams (4x400 and DMR) will qualify for the national meet.
