BOSTON, Mass. – For the fourth time this season, senior
Grace Yarkosky (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon) broke a program record, breaking her own 400-meter dash indoor program record on Saturday as the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
The senior sprinter posted an All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying time of 55.55 seconds, shaving almost two seconds off her old mark for first place in the 400-meter dash open. Yarkosky now ranks in the top 10 across all of Division III with her first-place performance today.
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Emma Mahoney (Spencerport, N.Y. / Spencerport),
Isabella Scott (Valatie, N.Y. / Ichabod Crane),
Brianna Wise (Niskayuna, N.Y. / Niskayuna), and Yarkosky also competed today. The group recorded an AARTFC-qualifying time of 4:00.64, finishing in 26th place.
The Cardinals split up for two meets today and are still competing at the Tufts Cupid Challenge at Tufts.
