PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State's senior Kristy Cantwell (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh) and first-year Abigail Macdougal (Keeseville, NY/AuSable Valley) were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Doubles Athletes of the Week for women's tennis, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. This is the team's first doubles weekly honor of the season.

Cantwell & Macdougal had a strong outing this week, winning against Division II Saint Michael's 6-1 at No. 3 doubles. The women's tennis team is currently 1-1 and heads to Albany on Friday, looking to get back in the win column as they take on Russell Sage at 4 p.m. in their final non-conference match before entering SUNYAC play.
