2025 CSC Academic All-District Baseball Teams

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – For the second straight season, senior pitcher Kolby Mordecki (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Baseball team that was released Tuesday. Mordecki earned CSC honors last year and repeated the achievement after a strong senior campaign on the field and in the classroom.

To be eligible for this ballot, student-athletes must not only excel on their field of play but also in the classroom, carrying at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA at the time of their nomination, while also being at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Mordecki, an ecology major, was the staff ace for the Cardinals in 2025, starting seven games and making eight total appearances in a rain-soaked campaign. He led the team with a 4.58 ERA and 34 strikeouts, becoming the eighth member in program history to join the 100 career strikeouts club. Mordecki also totaled 39.1 innings pitched, as he went at least six innings in four of his starts, never allowing more than three earned runs in any appearance over the entire season. His season was highlighted by a seven-inning outing against UW-Superior on March 15, where he went seven innings and allowed just three earned runs, as well as going 7.2 innings against Fredonia in his final career start.

The Cardinals wrapped up their season at 12-21, 4-14, finishing their season with wins in three of their last four games.
