PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State baseball team has been recognized for its success in the classroom, earning the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award.

The award recognizes collegiate baseball programs that have demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement by posting a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.0 during the 2025-26 academic year and is a current member of the ABCA.

Plattsburgh State was one of nearly 500 collegiate programs across the country to receive the distinction, highlighting the Cardinals' dedication to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

The Team Academic Excellence Award reflects the ABCA's commitment to recognizing programs that emphasize academic success alongside athletic competition and celebrates the hard work student-athletes put forth throughout the academic year.
