Play of the Year Voting Link

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation has announced the 2024-25 Plattsburgh State Athletics Play of the Year nominees, and voting will be held from now until April 30 for fans to vote. Voting will begin today, April 23, for all of the general public at the link attached at the top of this release and will conclude at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.

The nominees for the 2024-25 Plattsburgh State Athletics Play of the Year are:

Men's Basketball - Ikee Ezike Game-Saving Block, leading to game-sealing layup against Oswego State
Men's Ice Hockey - Aaron Catron Goal to send SUNYAC Semifinal Game to Overtime
Men's Ice Hockey - Jake Sacratini Goal to Win SUNYAC Semifinal Game against Cortland
Men's Lacrosse - Ethan Francey Behind the Back Goal vs. Canton
Men's Soccer - Teddy Healy Penalty Save to keep Plattsburgh State ahead vs. Union late in a non-conference win
Women's Ice Hockey - Molly Riggi Game-Winning Goal in the SUNYAC Championship
Women's Lacrosse - Abby Guasconi Goal vs. Fredonia, Falling to the Turf
Women's Track & Field - 4x400-meter relay SUNYAC Championship Run, moving from third place to first in the final lap

The Play of the Year will be announced at the Plattsburgh State End of the Year Awards Ceremony, which is slated for Monday, May 5, at 6 p.m. While not open to the general public, a livestream will be broadcast for fans, parents, family, and friends to watch at home.
