SYRACUSE, N.Y. – First-year forward Kate Conlon of Plattsburgh State has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Rookie of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 2 as announced by the conference office on Monday. 

Conlon tallied two points last week, finishing with a +3 plus-minus and two shots over three games. In Plattsburgh's final game of the week, Conlon assisted on both of the team's goals, giving herself her first career multi-point game as the Cardinals defeated No. 10 Cortland.

The No. 8 Cardinals are currently 14-5-1 (10-3-1 SUNYAC) and next play on Friday, Feb. 7 in the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena against Potsdam.
