PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State first-year
Declan Gallagher (LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington) was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Offensive Athlete of the Week for men's soccer, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. This is the team's first weekly honor of the season.
Gallagher led the way offensively for Plattsburgh State during a perfect 2-0 week in conference play, helping the Cardinals secure wins over Oneonta and Canton. Gallagher delivered in clutch moments, scoring the game-winning goal in both matches. Against Oneonta, he fired a stunning strike into the top corner from outside the box to lift the Cardinals to a 2-1 victory. He followed that performance with another decisive goal in the team's 2-0 win over Canton.
