PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – First-year forward
Zsofia Pazmandi (Kaposvar, Hungary/Ontario Hockey Academy) scored four goals, as the No. 3 Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team eased past the Ottawa Jr. 67's, 7-0, in its exhibition finale on Wednesday evening at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.
Sophomore forward
Emma McLean (Burlington, Mass./Pomfret School) and sophomore defender
Su-An Cho (Madison, Ala./Florida Alliance) also found the back of the net for the Cardinals, with Cho adding two assists as well. Per NCAA regulations, all statistics from exhibition contests do not count toward season or career totals.
The Cardinals held a 39-7 edge in shots on goal in addition to going 1-for-5 on the power play.
Plattsburgh State opens up the 2023-24 regular season with its inaugural game competing under the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) banner, hosting Oswego State on Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m.
McLean put the Cardinals on the board early, finding the back of the net 1:22 into the contest on assists from sophomore defender

Emily Kasprzak (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Pittsburgh Penguins Elite). Pazmandi then buried four straight goals, scoring at 6:02, 11:02, 15:55 and 19:33 of the first period, respectively. During that stretch, Cho and junior defender
Mattie Norton (Glen Carbon, Ill./St. Louis Lady Blues) each notched two assists, while first-year defender
Maeghan Forsyth (Billings, Mont./Notre Dame Hounds), graduate student forward
Ivy Boric (Newport Beach, Calif./Anaheim Lady Ducks) and sophomore defender
Aizah Thompson (Williamsville, N.Y./Buffalo Bisons) each tallied one assist.
First-year forward
Dani Longuemare (Pembroke, Mass./Portsmouth Abbey School) scored on a one-time pass from graduate student forward
Tatem Cheney (Ottawa, Ontario/Ottawa Lady 67's) at 8:12 of the second period—first-year forward
Lilli Bills (Castle Rock, Colo./New Hampton School) also earned an assist on the goal—while Cho capped off scoring when she tallied on the power play at 7:00 of the third period on feeds from Boric and Norton.
Graduate student goaltender
Lilla Nease (Lake Forest, Calif./Anaheim Lady Ducks) posted a seven-save shutout in between the pipes for the Cardinals, while Alex Venning made 32 stops in goal for the Ottawa Jr. 67's.
