CANTON, N.Y. – Senior
Janyll Barber (Dannemora, N.Y./Saranac) won a pair of events and placed second in a third, helping the Plattsburgh State women's track and field team place second out of seven teams with 139 points at the Saints Ice Broken Open hosted by St. Lawrence University on Saturday.
Barber placed first in the 200-meter dash (26.26) and the 100-meter hurdles (16.68) in addition to taking second in the high jump (1.43 meters – 4' 8.25").
Senior
Aislyn McDonough (Rouses Point, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton) continued her dominance in the middle-distance races, crossing first in the 1,500-meter run (4:58.29).

Journey Myricks (Westbury, N.Y./Shaker) took second in the discus throw (36.68 meters – 120' 4"), while third-place finishes came from first-year student
Sarah Smith (Lake Pleasant, N.Y./Wells) in the 1,500-meter run (5:24.52), junior
Mikayla Osmer (Cutchogue, N.Y./Mattituck) in the high jump (1.38 meters – 4' 6.25"), senior
Kaitlyn Bjelko (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Beekmantown) in the hammer throw (36.56 meters – 119' 11") and senior
Bliss Rhoads (Copake, N.Y./Taconic Hills) in the javelin throw (27.37 meters – 89' 9").
Plattsburgh State next competes at the Cortland Red Dragon Open hosted by SUNY Cortland on Saturday, April 9.
