CORTLAND, N.Y. – Senior Journey Myricks (Westbury, N.Y./Shaker) of Plattsburgh State has been named the PrestoSports State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 17, 2022, as announced Monday by the conference office.
 
Myricks posted a pair of top-five finishes at the Southern New Hampshire Penman Relays hosted by Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday. She placed second in the discus throw with an All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC)- and SUNYAC-qualifying throw of 36.75 meters (120' 7") in addition to taking fifth in the shot put with a SUNYAC-qualifying mark of 10.95 meters (35' 11.25").

Plattsburgh State next competes at Middlebury College on Saturday, April 23, in a tri-meet with Middlebury and Union College.
