PREBLE, N.Y.
– The Plattsburgh State women's cross country team looks to use the momentum from strong racing all year to move up the conference standings on Saturday, Oct. 30, as it competes at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships hosted by SUNY Cortland at Harkness Memorial State Park. The women's race begins at 12 p.m.

The Cardinals have raced the championship's six-kilometer distance once this year when it competed at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence University on Sept. 25.

Seniors Aislyn McDonough (Rouses Point, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton) and Rebecca Block (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) look to help push Plattsburgh State toward the top of the pack, as the pair has served as the Cardinals' top two runners at each of their four meets so far this season.

First-year students Lauren Purvis (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool), Sarah Smith (Lake Pleasant, N.Y./Wells), Skyler Misiaszek (Castleton, N.Y./Maple Hill) and Emma Ginnane (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River), junior Andie Carroll (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz) and sophomore Katie Bergé (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) also have placed among the top seven for Plattsburgh State in 2021 so far.
