PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Despite a hard-fought effort by graduate goalkeeper
Taylor Adams (Schenectady, N.Y./Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons) who made 15 saves, the Plattsburgh State women's soccer team (5-4) fell 2-0 to Saint Lawrence (6-0-1) Tuesday night at the Field House Complex.
The Saints out-shot the Cardinals 25-11 with 17 shots on goal compared Plattsburgh States seven.
Adams made six saves before Saint Lawrence scored their first goal off a corner kick in the 37th minute.
They scored again in the 60th minute booting the ball just outside the 18-yard box up and over the keepers reach.
Adams recovered and made six more saves the remainder of the game while the Saints goalie recorded five saves for the entire second half.

Abigail Seamans (Bolton Landing, N.Y. / Bolton Central) each had two shots on goal while senior defender
Jessica Mangieri (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale), junior defender
Amanda Steinman (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and junior forward
Katie Matott (Rouses Point, N.Y./Northeastern Clinton) all had one.
Plattsburgh State is back at home Saturday, Sept. 29, for a conference game against Potsdam at 1 p.m.
