MONTREAL – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team kicked off the New Year with a 3-1 come from behind win over the Carleton Ravens in the Theresa Humes Tournament.
It was a scoreless first period between both teams with Plattsburgh holding a 6-4 advantage in shots.
The Ravens got on the board first when Audrey-Ann Boutour netted a short-handed goal 14 minutes into the second period of play.
Headed into the third the Cardinals were looking to get on the board early, and
Jordan Lipson did just that 27 seconds into the period to tie the game at one.

Andrea Ziesmann notched assists on the equalizer.
Cardinal freshman
Muna Fadel found the back of the net roughly eight minutes later on a feed from
Mackenzie Millen to give Plattsburgh State its first lead of the game.
With two seconds left in regulation sophomore
Kayla Meneghin tallied the final Cardinal goal in short-handed fashion to seal a 3-1 win for Plattsburgh State.
The Cardinals outshot the Ravens 27-17 for the contest.
Ravens goalie Hailey Perreault made 24 saves, while Cardinal goalie
Camille Leonard tallied 16 stops between the pipes.
The Cardinals will face off against the University of Ottawa on Sunday in day two of the Theresa Humes Tournament. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
