Box Score PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's soccer team got its third-straight win Saturday afternoon 2-1 over Skidmore in dramatic fashion.
 
The Cardinals struck early in the 6^th minute when midfielder Cassidy Clavet knocked in her fourth goal of the season.
 
Clavet settled down a pass from Caitlin Gagen and then made one-touch around the keeper before tapping it into the open net, making it 1-0 Plattsburgh State.
 
The Thoroughbreds would respond in the 26^th minute to tie the game at 1-1.
 
Arena Manning ran through the Cardinals defense getting a one-on-one with Plattsburgh State goalkeeper Nichole Gibson, beating her low to right.
 
The game would go back and forth from there on out as each team took a total of 13 shots.
 
As the game looked like it was headed for overtime, Anissa Hartmann netted the game-winner for the Cardinals in the 89^th minute to make it 2-1.
 
Hartmann scored her team-high fifth goal including four in the last three game.
 
The junior from Fairfax, Vt. sent a shot in from left side of the box bouncing off of Skidmore goalie Dee Walsh's hands and into the goal.
 
Gibson finished the afternoon with six saves while Walsh corralled four.
 
Plattsburgh State doubled up the Thoroughbreds in corner kicks, 6-3.
 
With the win Plattsburgh State is now 4-2-1 on the season while Skidmore fell to 2-3.
 
The Cardinals will look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday when they host Middlebury at 7 pm. The Panthers defeated the Cardinals a year ago in Middlebury, 1-0.
