FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Due to some unseasonably cold temperatures which are set to roll in on Sunday afternoon, the season-opening baseball series between Plattsburgh State and the Unviersity of Mary Washington has been shortened from three games to two.
Originally, the two teams were scheduled to do battle in a doubleheader at noon on Saturday and a single, nine-inning tilt at noon on Sunday. Currently, the squads are still set to meet up for their Saturday doubleheader, but the single game on Sunday has been postponed. No make-up date has been announced.
