PLATTSBURGH. N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's hockey team kept their undefeated ECAC West record going with a 6-0 win over SUNY Potsdam Tuesday night.

Melissa Sheeran got the scoring going for the Cardinals 1:03 into the first period when the freshman scored her third of the season on a rebound.

Shannon Stewart would tally her seventh of the season on wrist shot in the slot to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.

Sophomore Jordan Lipson carried the puck down the leftside boards before finding Stewart skating alone in the middle of the Potsdam zone.

Five thirty-eight into the second period Plattsburgh State's leading scorer Kayla Meneghin would add to her total when she deked SUNY Potsdam's goalie Abby Tardelli on a breakaway.  The freshman would finish the night with four-points giving her 14 on the season.

Fellow freshman Brett Campbell would score her first goal in her collegiate career when her initial shot was saved by Tardelli but a bad break for the Bears as the puck would deflect off a Bears defender and into the goal to give Plattsburgh a 4-0 after two periods.

In the third two more Cardinals would added as Melissa Ames and Olivia Fox would each light the lamp.

Ames deflected an Alyssa Parke slap-shot from the point that redirected past Tardelli and into the net.

Fox received an across ice pass from Chelsea Broadhead burying the goal short-sided before a sliding Tardelli could cover time.

Sophomore goaltender Camille Leonard made 13 saves in a relatively quite night for the Cardinals as she picked up her second win of the season. Bears goalie, Tardelli made 52 saves on 58 shots as she was tested early and often night.

Plattsburgh State moves to 7-0-1 (5-0-0 ECACW) as it gears up for the UNO Pizzeria & Grill Cardinal - Panther Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
