Gove scored her second of the night at the 7:46 mark of the third period, knocking in her own rebound for a short-handed tally to give the Cardinals a 3-0 lead.

The Ephs (6-7-0) spoiled the shutout with a power-play goal by Michaela Levine at 8:14. Nitsan Goldstein’s initial shot was denied by Sydney Aveson but Levine was on the doorstep to punch the puck into the back of the net to bring Williams within two.

Shannon Stewart added a power-play goal late in the third from Jenny Kistner and Gove to make it 4-1 in favor of the Cardinals.

Gove’s three-point night brings her to a team-leading 28 on the year. The Cardinals’ senior captain leads the team in goals (13) and assists (15).

Aveson allowed one goal on 22 shots to improve to 11-0-1. Billadeau recorded 23 saves for the Ephs in the loss.
