Boxscore and Play-by-Play

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.
  – Megan Rivage’s first goal of the season at 59:43 was all the Cardinals would need to take down the Oswego State Lakers, 1-0, in the State University of New York Athletic Conference home opener at the Field House Soccer Complex.  The Cardinals improve to 7-1-1 (2-0-1 SUNYAC), while the loss drops the Lakers to 5-4-0 (0-2-0 SUNYAC) on the season.
Kayla Rabideau set up the game-winner with a cross to the left inside the box that Rivage would blast past Oswego State goalie Christina Fregosi.
Plattsburgh State dominated the play throughout the game, edging Oswego in shots (19-5) and corner kicks (3-1).  Rivage led the Cardinals with five shots, four of which were on goal.  Rabideau also took five shots for Plattsburgh, while Liz Radigan followed with four.
Alina Greiser was not tested often, making two stops in her seventh victory.  The win marks Greiser’s fifth shutout this season.  Fregosi recorded six saves for the Lakers in her third loss.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, October 2 at 1 p.m. when they host the Cortland Red Dragons.
