Megan DiJulio tipped Erika Shaubel's slap shot from the point for the game-winning goal past Panther goaltender Lani Wright at the 17:26 mark of the third period. After Middlebury pulled Wright in favor of an extra attacker with about a minute left, Plattsburgh got some insurance with empty-net goals by DiJulio and Brittany Meade 20 seconds apart.
Stephanie Moberg gave Plattsburgh a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. Moberg scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season (tied with DiJulio) on a feed by Kate Fairfield. Julia Ireland tied it with her third goal on a pass from Madison Styrbicki 6:52 into the final stanza.
Wright was stellar for the Panthers--who were outshot 19-4 in the first period and down only 1-0 after 20 minutes--by making 31 saves.
Mandy Mackrell also had a strong game for Plattsburgh with 18 stops. Adding two assists, Moberg finished with a three-point night.
