Coughlan tallied seven points on two goals and three assists to help the Plattsburgh State men's soccer team to a 2-0-0 week. Coughlan began the week with one goal and two assists for four points in the Cardinals' 3-2 victory at Clarkson University on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Coughlan assisted on the first goal of the game scored by senior forward Yusif Okine as the Cardinals took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. He later gave Plattsburgh State a 2-1 lead when he scored in the 34th minute. After Clarkson tied the game again at 2-2, Coughlan tallied his second assist of the day on junior forward Jai Coker's game-winning goal in the 88th minute that gave the Cardinals the 3-2 victory. Coughlan concluded his week with on goal and one assist for three points in Plattsburgh State's 8-0 home win over Alfred University at the Field House Complex on Saturday, Sept. 4. Coughlan played an instrumental role in extending the Cardinals' lead as he scored the second goal of the match in the eighth minute and then assisted on the fourth goal of the match that was scored by sophomore midfielder Dylan Shalvey in the 28th minute.
