McDonough finished second in the 800-meter run with an AARTFC-qualifying time of 2:17.83 at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday at SUNY Cortland. She rounded the halfway mark of the race at 1:07.16, sitting in second place with three other runners within a second behind her. She then powered through the final 400 meters in 1:10.68, the second-fastest split in the field, to hold on for second place. McDonough also led off the Cardinals' fifth-place 4x400-meter relay that charted a time of 4:15.85.
