O'Brien averaged 2.8 kills per set, 1.2 service aces per set and 1.2 digs per set while hitting .239 (28-11-71), helping lead the Cardinals to a 3-0 start to the season. She pounded down 10 kills and registered five digs and two total blocks in a 3-1 season-opening win over Castleton University on Wednesday. On Saturday, she recorded career highs in kills (11) and service aces (7) in a 3-0 victory over Utica College before posting seven kills, six digs and five service aces in a 3-0 triumph over SUNY Poly. For the season, O'Brien is tied for the SUNYAC lead in service aces per set and ranks third in the conference in kills per set (2.80).
