Biography
2011 (Freshman): Recorded 90 kills in 97 sets played...third on the team with 186 digs...notched six kills and 11 digs against Sage College (Sept. 3)...had eight kills and 14 digs against New Paltz (Sept. 23)...named to the All-Tournament team at the Cardinal Classic...received All-Academic honors from the SUNYAC.
High School: Played volleyball at Tamarac High School ... won team MVP in 2007 on JV ... varsity won all conference MVP in 2008-2010 ... won scholar athlete award in 2008-2010 ... was "player to watch" on Poststar in 2008 & 2009 ... won Maple Hill tournament MVP in 2009 and 2010 ... won team MVP 2008, 2009, & 2010 ... Maple Hill tournament winners in 2008, 2009 & 2010 ... undefeated Wasaren League champions in 2009 & 2010 ... in 2010 finished third place in the sectional championship match... Won the Brown University book award as a Junior, the President Education award, foreign language award, voice of democracy award, and outstanding athlete award/ Member of National Honor society ... honor roll all throughout high school ... played for North County Albany Juniors in 2008 and Legion in 2009 & 2010.
Personal: Born Nancy Vickerson on Feb. 17th, 1993 in Albany, N.Y. ... daughter of Tim and Lisa Vickerson ... A communication sciences & disorders major ... Enjoys kayaking, boating, and seeing live music.
