Plattsburgh State Athletics

2011 (Junior): Notched 67 kills in 46 sets played...third on the team with 1.49 kills per set...tied a career-high with 12 kills against Canton (Sept. 3)...had four service aces and six digs against Hamilton College (Sept. 2).

2010 (Sophomore Year at Plattsburgh): Recorded a career-high 12 kills in four sets at Skidmore (Oct. 29) ... posted a season-high seven digs in a 3-1 win against Cobleskill (Sept. 18) ... had four kills and four service aces against R.I.T (Oct. 8).

2009 (Freshman Year at Plattsburgh): Had a career-high four blocks at SUNY Old Westbury (Sept. 12) ... recorded two blocks and a dig in collegiate debut vs. King's (Pa.) on Sept. 12.  

High School: Played two years under coach Vicki McMillian at Plattsburgh … had a standout senior season for the Hornets, earning first-team all-stars and second-team all-state from the coaches’ association … NCCS All-Tournament Team and MVP of the Saranac Tournament … co-Plattsburgh team MVP … team posted 17-2 records in each of last two seasons … 2008-09 Sectional and 2007-08 co-Champlain Valley Athletic Conference champion. 

Personal: Born Kayla Beth Hoopes on Feb. 13, 1991, in Plattsburgh…participated in Volley for a Cure fundraiser and Hannah’s Hope Tournament…undeclared major.
