Rosi Cummings

Having wrapped up one of the finest volleyball career in Plattsburgh State history, Rosi Cummings will remain a part of the Cardinal team as an assistant coach.

The Plattsburgh, N.Y., product led the Cardinals to one of their greatest seasons ever in 2013. Led by Cummings, Plattsburgh State made it to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship Tournament for the first time since the 2003 season.

As the four seed, the Cardinals made it to the semifinals before bowing out to eventual runner-up and host institution New Paltz.

During that season, Cummings led the SUNYAC with a kills per set average of 3.5 - a figure that was also 70th-best in all of Division III volleyball. Directly after the Cardinals' tournament run, she was named the SUNYAC Player of the Year - the first of many accolades she would go on to receive following her career.

American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region, AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Second Team All-Star laurels would follow for Cummings, who also broke the 1,000-kill barrier on October 8, 2013 in a home match against St. Lawrence.

Cummings wrapped up her career with 1,183 kills and 1,282 digs.
