Plattsburgh State Athletics

2015 (Sophomore): Cross Country: Appeared in the first three meets for Plattsburgh State… battled injuries that would ultimately sideline her for the remainder of the season.

2014-15 (Freshman): Indoor: During a 3000 meter run Emily finished in 12^th place with a time of 13:38.90 at the SLU Invitational (1/17)… helped a Cardinal team to place 12^th during a 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:47.34 at the Brockport Multi & Invite (1/24)…Outdoor: Finished in second place with a Cardinal squad in the 4x800 meter relay in a time of 11:05.29 at the UAlbany Spring Classic (4/18)…placed eighth with a Cardinal team in the 4x400 meter relay in a time of 4:37.75 at the Capital District Classic (4/25).

High School: Spent a combined six seasons with the varsity cross country and track teams earning three varsity letters... earned scholar athlete award in spring of 2013, as well as fall, winter and spring of senior year... captain of the 2013 cross country team... outdoor track sectional champions in 2013... 2014 indoor and outdoor sectional champions.

Personal: Born Emily J Haig on July 30, 1996, in Albany, N.Y. ... daughter of Walter and Beth Haig... granddaughter of former pitcher and Plattsburgh State Hall of Fame Member Gary Butler... enjoys music... plans to major in speech pathology and minor in athletic coaching at Plattsburgh State.
