Jordyn Naylon begins her third season as the head cross-country coach at Plattsburgh State in 2024.

Naylon's 2024 teams both placed fifth at SUNYACs, while the men placed 15th at the NCAA Division III Mideast Region Championships and the women 20th. The team had two All-SUNYAC selections in Sarah Smith and Michael Brockway, as Smith took home Second-Team honors and Brockway earned a Third-Team selection.

In 2023, Naylon continued her mentorship and development of both cross-country programs as the men's cross-country team saw an improvement at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNAYC) Championships, improving to fifth, and the women's cross-country team improved to fourth. Both teams also moved up three places in NCAA Division III Mideast Region Championships as the men went from 15th to 12th and the women from 18th to 15th. The team had one All-SUNYAC selection in Marissa Colvin as she took third-team honors.

Naylon made an immediate impact during her first season coaching the Cardinals, leading Plattsburgh State to a pair of sixth-place finishes at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships.

Prior to Plattsburgh State, she served as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland for six years. During her time at Cortland, Naylon coached two regional champions and two All-Americans, including Ryan Cory, who placed first at the NCAA Division III Niagara Region Cross Country Championships and earned All-America honors by finishing 40th out of 289 runners at the NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships in 2021. In addition, she coached four national qualifiers between cross country and indoor, and outdoor track and field.

As an undergraduate student-athlete at Cortland, Naylon earned All-America honors in the mile at the 2012 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships and earned two All-Region honors in cross country. In addition, Naylon, who qualified for nationals five times between cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field, was named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Decade Team (2010-19) for women's track and field.

Naylon earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2013 and her Master of Science in Exercise Science in 2018, both from Cortland.
