Biography
2014-15 (Sophomore): Indoor: Placed 17th in shot put with a 13.27 meter throw at the SLU Invitational (1/17)… also finished 14th in weight throw with a 9.28 meter toss at the SLU Invitational (1/17)… Outdoor: Finished ninth in discus throw with a 25.21 meter toss and sixth in the hammer throw with a 25.11 meter toss at the Middlebury Invitational (4/3).
2013-14 (Freshman): Indoor: Placed 19th in shot put with a mark of 9.11 meters at the Saints Indoor Invitational (1/18)… Outdoor: Finished 18th in the discus throw with a toss of 25.35 meters at the RPI Invitational (4/26).
High School: Spent four years in the throwing circle at Ticonderoga High School... took home third-place honors at the 2012 sectional meet... helped his team earn a section championship in the spring of 2013... hunkered down on the offensive line for three seasons as a prep, too... gridiron accolades include a promotion to team captain in 2012 and a selection to the John J. Herbert All-Academic Team that same season... assisted his squad in capturing a section championship in 2011.
Personal: Born Steven Kirk Bussey in Middlebury, Vt., on November 25, 1994... son of Richard and Christine Bussey... plans to major in accounting at Plattsburgh State.
