High School: Competed in basketball at John Bowne High School for a total of four years, playing on the varsity team for two seasons after a year on the freshman team and a year on the JV squad... Also competed in one year of track and field... Earned the Scholar-Athlete Award his freshman season and the Academic Basketball Sports Award his senior year... Thurgood Marshall Bridge 2 Greatness Academic Achievement Award winner... Helped John Bowne win a Queens Boro AA championship in 2020... Gained club experience playing for N.Y.C. Finest, Diallo Elite and Dynasty Basketball, winning a total of five championships between the three teams.
Personal: Son of Seydou and Odiya Camara Kone... Cousins Mamadou Diarra (University of Connecticut) and Hassan Diarra (University of Connecticut, Texas A&M University) either currently play or have played NCAA Division I men's basketball... Enjoys listening to music, playing basketball and fashion in his spare time... Switched from basketball to track and field.
