Plattsburgh State Athletics

2014-15 (Sophomore): Indoor: Helped the Cardinal team to a fourth place finish in the distance medley with a time of 12:08.98 at the SLU Invitational (1/17)… finished 10^th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:06.57 at the Hamilton Invitational (1/31)… contributed to a ninth place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:51.34 at the Hamilton Invitational (1/31)… powered the Cardinals to a seventh place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:46.20 at the Brockport Golden Eagles Invitational (2/21)… Louis also helped take home an eighth place finish in the distance medley with a time of 10:53.95 at the SUNYAC Championships (2/28)… Outdoor: Placed eighth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:04.94 and sixth in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:24.24 at the Middlebury Invitational (4/3)… helped the Cardinal team to a first place victory in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 8:30.50 at the UAlbany Spring Classic (4/18)… contributed to a fifth place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:44.09 at the Capital District Classic (4/25). 

2013-14 (Freshman): Cross Country: One of five student-athletes - and one of just two freshmen - who competed in each of the Cardinals' nine meets... dipped below the 28-minute mark in an eight-kilometer race for the first time with a 73rd-place finish at the SUNYAC Championships (27:35.9)... raced to the fourth-best finish among Plattsburgh State competitors and 176th place overall at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships (28:26.5). Indoor: Helped the Cardinals in the distance medley relay to a time of 12:20.27 and a fifth place finish (1/18)… Outdoor: Contributed to a third place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 8:13.90 at the Cortland Invitational (4/18)… powered the Cardinals to a first place finish in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 8:09.16 at the Albany Invitational (4/19).

High School: Excelled on the cross country trails for two years while competing for Arlington High School... captured All-League and All-County honors and assisted his squad to league and section crowns as well... also participated in track and field for two seasons. 

Personal: Born Louis Daniel Castellani on December 30, 1994, in Carmel, N.Y. ... son of Gene Castellani and Toni Ann Risucci... plans to major in finance at Plattsburgh State.
