Biography
2012-13 (Senior): Set up shop in the Plattsburgh State backcourt for one final campaign and helped the Cardinals to their best season in over a decade... retained her reputation as one of the premier distributors in the SUNYAC by averaging 3.7 assists per outing - the third-highest figure in the 10-team league... arguably saved her best basketball for the Cardinals' run in the SUNYAC Championship Tournament... helped her fifth-seeded team spring an upset at fourth-seeded Oneonta State by pouring in a career-high 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from long range... completed her bid for a double-double by tying a career-best with 10 rebounds in that same confrontation (2/19)... dished out a season-high eight assists in the Cardinals' win over St. Lawrence (11/27)... put the wraps on her basketball days by racking up 351 career assists, becoming the second-most prolific passer Plattsburgh State has ever seen.
2011-12 (Junior): Appeared 25 times, starting four times at guard...led team for third season in a row in assists with 88 and was fourth in SUNYAC in assists per game with 3.52...ranked fifth in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio...had a season-high eight assists against Norwich in season-opener (Nov. 15) ... made the SUNYAC all-academic team.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Started in 20 of 25 games at guard … Led team and ranked fourth in the SUNYAC with 3.36 assists per game … Ranked fourth in the SUNYAC in assist-to-turnover ratio … Led team 13 times in assists … Had a season-high nine assists and 11 points against Clarkson University (Jan. 11).
2009-10 (Freshman): Started in 22 of 24 games at point guard...led team and ranked fifth in SUNYAC with 3.92 assists per game...sixth in conference assist-to-turnover ratio...led squad in assists 17 times, including a career-best 11 against Albany College of Pharmacy on Nov. 20 in the Cardinal Classic First Round...had seven assists and three steals in collegiate debut Nov. 15 at Norwich...94 assists are good for seventh all-time in a single-season at Plattsburgh.
High School: Lettered twice in both basketball and softball, and four times in soccer at Bishop Ford…named basketball team MVP and soccer team MVP in 2008-09.
Personal: Born Catherine Mary Cassidy on Feb. 19, 1991 in Brooklyn, N.Y....daughter of John and Joyce Cassidy...fitness and wellness leadership major.
