Biography
2015 (Senior): Made six appearances for Plattsburgh State… placed 18th at the Pre-SUNYAC meet with a time of 28:29.9 on September 19th… Ran his best 8k at the Mike Woods Invitational, clocking in with a time of 27:44.7 on October 3rd.
2013-14 (Junior): Cross Country: Was the lone upperclassman to race in all nine meets on the Cardinals' schedule... enjoyed his finest eight-kilometer race of the season at the pre-regional meet at SUNY Geneseo where he turned in a time of 27:32.5 to finish in 102nd place... placed among the top 100 finishers at the SUNYAC Championships with an 85th-place time of 28:15.1... along with five other teammates, ran at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships and finished in 201st place with a time of 29:01.5. Indoor: Finished 13th in the 5,000 meter run at the Ithaca College Invitational with a time of 17:08.05 (2/15)… Outdoor: Placed 10th in the 10,000 meter run at the Cortland Invitational with a time of 36:16.00 (4/18).
Prior to Plattsburgh State: Spent his first two years as a collegian competing for SUNY Cobleskill... helped guide the Fighting Tigers cross country program to NEAC Championships in 2011 and 2012... took home an All-NEAC Second Team award in his first season at the collegiate level.
High School: Became a fixture in the cross country limelight at Hudson High School through his five seasons of competition... capped off his prep career with a First Team All-Patroon Conference selection in 2010... recorded a runner-up finish at the Galway Cross Country Invitational... posted top-ten finishes at the conference cross country meets in 2009 and 2010... performed admirably for the track and field program for five seasons as well... was an integral part of the 2011 outdoor team that hauled in the Patroon Conference crown... enjoyed a championship performance in the 3,200-meter run during his high school days... also participated in volleyball for four seasons, earning the title of most improved during his second season as well as the coaches award after his final campaign.
Personal: Born Brendan Gilson Connor on March 19, 1993 in Albany, N.Y. ... son of John Connor, Jr., and Anne Connor... sister, Allison, played basketball at RPI from 2007-11... enjoys playing sports, hanging out with friends and going to professional track and field meets... will major in business administration at Plattsburgh State.
