Plattsburgh State Athletics

Before Plattsburgh:  Transferred from NCAA Division II College of Saint Rose located in Albany, N.Y....went 1-0 with a 3.65 earned-run average in six relief appearances during sophomore season of 2008...struck out six in 12.1 innings of work...member of the junior varsity squad as a freshman, making three starts and working a team-best 21.2 innings.

High School:  Three-year letterman under baseball coach Frank Trudeau at Saranac...twice served as team captain...won Heart Award...batted .460 with five home runs, 10 triples and 11 doubles as a senior...first-team All-Champlain Valley Athletic Conference...named to the Class B All-State First Team...helped lead Saranac to Section VII title...also earned two letters each in soccer and basketball...two-year starter and team captain in soccer, scoring 20 goals and 15 assists during career...2006 CVAC basketball champions with a 24-1 overall record...played on two Senior Babe Ruth state baseball championship teams.

Personal:  Born Justin Paul Besaw on Jan. 10, 1988 in Plattsburgh, N.Y....enjoys golfing, music and fishing...plays several musical instruments...parents are David and Beth...history major with a minor in music.
